Again, let me restate that variance is very high in tournament poker - standings over a mere dozen tournaments probably amounts to less than 150 hands per tournament which is a miniscule sample size when it comes to ranking yourself as a poker player. The POY race is strictly done in the spirit of fun and shouldn't be discouraging if you run into a cold deck for several months.
Please note that tournaments in June, July and August are worth double the points.
